And Dad…

it’s been awhile since we’ve posted.  so here is a photo booth picture that we did, compliments of A Custom Look Photography and Kayla + Cole’s wedding (click here to see the wedding photos).

Last week my dad and I had the chance to fly to breakfast… yes fly. We had bid on a silent auction at coda’s school and won a flight from two guys who had built a plane, that they were going to fly us to breakfast! I know homemade plane doesn’t sound like the best idea, but the plane was super nice, and actually very comfortable. We flew to Greeley airport and had a great breakfast, and then cruised around the front range sightseeing. The coolest part was that they actually let us fly the plane, what a great experience! Here are some pics!

We bought Coda his first bike last week and he loves it, it seems like once he gets on it he can ride forever. He loves going fast down the hills, and he has learned about falling (quite a bit!) We got him horn too, so he makes sure he lets everyone know he’s coming! Here is a quick video of him on his “Rocket Bike”, I also have some pics I will try and get uploaded soon!

we headed down to the peoples fair to day to spend sometime with the boys. we were gone mostly all day yesterday for a wedding downtown and had bought some food tickets just in case the bride and groom wanted a picture with a turkey leg :) So since today was the last day of the fair we took the boys and got some good food. coda and michell had a huge pizza, and holden and I shared a pulled pork sandwich… delicious! the rain clouds rolled in, but we were able to get coda on a ride and some cooton candy before we left. we made it back to the car just in time for the rain and hail to move in! fun times!

today we went to the rockies v. padres game at coors field. every year my uncle terry is able to get tickets from his work, so we typically go as one big group, our family and most of my cousins from my mom’s side of the fam. this was holden’s first baseball game ever, and of the year and he had a blast. we headed downtown a little bit before the game and walked around 16th street mall. we love to take coda down to ride the mall buses, he has a blast doing it, and it so much fun to watch how excited he gets even when riding just one block. at the game holden did so good, he had a long day and got a little cranky towards the seven inning stretch. but since the padres had a 4 run lead i think most of us were a little cranky. rockies made a short run at the end, but lost the game.

coda gets a face full of cotton candy.  he managed to eat a bucket full, and then a snow cone.  amazing, because when we try to get him to eat dinner at home he can never eat that much!

coda loves these paper stands downtown, he is always trying to stay current on the denver classifieds.

A comic that I really enjoy these days is "what the duck" and if you dig through the archives you will see why.  I had to post this one because it is most likely a conversation that coda and I will be having soon :)

when I saw this picture of coda that zach took of him yawning, i just knew that i had to post these two side by side.  this was a picture that i took of holden at the hospital.  how funny is this!  they look identical.  they are even tilting their head the same way.  i love it.

Today was another awesome Colorado winter day so we headed out to the park to enjoy the 70º weather. Ya Ya came and surprised Coda with a little McD’s for lunch. We had a picnic and played a little soccer, So glad to live here, I think we have had more days over 70º than snow storms this winter.
