Oliver was taking a nap one day.  Holden was not supposed to be in there.  I walked in to the room to this.  Holden had decided to pull ALL of his clothes out of the closet and throw them in with Ollie.

Holden is so independent and he LOVES to be the big helper.  Me and the boys were at Target one day and Holden insisted on carrying the bags.  He’s just too cute!

28 weeks and waiting…

7/12/2009

here i am!  28 weeks with 3 different boys.  coda, holden, and lastly…oliver.  i seem to have lost a lot of the photos from 2004 (well, hopefully just can’t find them right now), but i think i might try and do this again.  it’s fun to see the difference of the 3 boys.  what do you think?  do i look like i’m getting bigger as the pregnancies go on?  i’m definitely bigger then when i was 28 weeks with coda, but i think i look about the same as when i was 28 weeks with holden.  right now, i’m actually more like 32 weeks, so maybe i will go searching for some images from week 32!  but for now.  enjoy!!  oh, and stay tuned.  we will be having a little contest again to see who can pick the right birthday for little Oli T.

making progress…

25/05/2009

since this was one of the last weekends that we will really not be too busy, zach decided to get to work on the bathroom.  remember this post back in October.  he got two walls done, so i’m excited for that.  it’s looking really good.  he also finished tearing out our flagstone patio in the backyard and put down seed.  so in a few weeks we should have some nice lush green grass out back and a completed bathroom downstairs!  i wonder what project he’ll start on next!  ;)

make sure and leave a comment and tell us what you think about the new bathroom!

happy belated mother’s day…

15/05/2009

hello everyone.  sorry we have been such slackers on thesillybears blog!  but, we have had lots of fun and exciting updates over on the revert blog.  go check those out!  so much has been going on over here at the Wear household.  last friday, coda invited me to a Mother’s Day Tea at his school.  it was so cute.  they sang songs, drew pictures, and even grew a plant for us moms!  coda was so excited for this day, he talked about it all week.  below is a photo of the plant and “flower” he gave me.  holden has been growing like a little weed and learning all kinds of new tricks.  he has started saying “mama”, which was awesome for mother’s day.  mama was his first word.  it was nice that i got holden’s first word since coda’s first word was dada.  ;)  i went through the archives of our family photos and grabbed this photo of me on mother’s day last year.  can you believe just one year ago we found out we were going to be having a boy and now we have a SEVEN month old that says mama!  it’s so crazy how fast the time flies by!  let’s see what else has little holden and big bro coda been up to.  holden started crawling.  he has been scooting himself around for a couple weeks now and today he actually got up on his knees and started to crawl.  it’s been really hit n miss on the sleeping thing though.  he does awesome some nights and then some he wants to get up and eat again.  we try and get him down around 7:30 – 8:00 or so.  and he pretty much always wakes up by 5:30 am.  a little on the early side, but he does go right back to sleep for us, so that’s good.  coda is really changing.  he’s so smart!  he won’t count to 5 for me (even though i know he can) and he won’t tell me his ABC’s (even though I know he knows them) but he sure can tell you the real life identities of all the super heroes!  yes, that includes, Iron Man, Spiderman, Batman, and probably more then that.  he really is all boy.  he loves super heroes, it’s really all we ever hear about.  well, that’s enough for the updates for now.  enjoy the pics, and i really will try and post again soon!

Step 1. Sit up, Step 2. Take Over World!

25/03/2009

So today was the first time Holden sat up long enough on his own that I could get a photo of him. I know you are probably thinking that it is cheating because my camera is really fast, but truly he did sit for a very long time. I was able to snap off quite a few photos (thanks to a fast camera) but I loved this one because I love how his tongue is hanging out.  You really can tell he is concentrating hard. Congrats Holden… your growing up too quick!

holden: 6 months

20/03/2009

Holden had his 6 month appt today with Dr. Steitz.  He is one healthy boy (despite his cough that is lingering.)  They said he is burning a lot of calories because of how active he is, and he wanted to show off by trying to destroy every piece of paper in the doctors office.  He did awesome with his shots, and acts like nothing even happened.  Below is the story… enjoy!

hippie hair

26/02/2009

I took Coda out in the backyard today to get some photos of how long his hair is getting. He keeps telling me that he like it long, and that it’s “ok it’s in my eyes a little bit”, so I guess I will hold out getting him a hair cut for a few more weeks. Not sure how well these pictures capture how much hair he actually has, but they were the best ones on the roll so I had to post them.

The Perfect Season

12/02/2009

Last night was my last “regular season” hockey game of the winter. This was the second season I have played and have been starting to enjoy it more and more, even though I know I am never going to be an NHL player, I may just have to settle for ECHL. Our team did manage to do something that was unthinkable at the beginning of the season, we had a perfect season! That’s right 0-20… worse than the Detroit Lions. We did however lead the league in longest losing streak and largest losing margin. It was fun, and was able to get a lot of time on the ice chasing the puck around. I am sure that this summer we can only improve.   Last night however I did get my first goal ever in a game time.  In my opinion, it was the type of goal that makes ESPN highlight reels, but I was most likely moving in slow motion to the untrained eye.  It was great to celebrate with my brother on the ice, and Josh L. made sure to get the puck afterward for a souvenir.  So glad that he did because I will never forget that moment… even while it will was very insignificant, I knew I had just crossed one thing off my “bucket list”.
