Little Man

11/02/2009

Had to post this photo today, I got Holden ready to go to take Coda to school and put him in his sweatshirt and strapped him in his car seat… and it dawned on me.  He is really starting to turn into a little man.  On his lap is his “Burtle” the turtle that he got for Christmas from yaya, it goes pretty much everywhere with him, great for keeping his hands busy and to chew on something besides his thumb.  It’s funny because every time we put him in his car seat we give it to him and he smiles and then attacks Burtles head!  Just thought I would share a quick snapshot from the day!

Working Days

15/01/2009

Unfortunately I still have to work… but now that Coda is a computer genius he likes to work right along side of me. He likes to play Kidzui, which is a web browser that only allows him to access content for kids. He can watch kids videos, play games on PBS kids, Nick Jr, and so many other great sites. His favorites right now are Blues Clues, Wubsy, Lazy Town and Caillou. In the photo below you can see our office setup works well, I work on my Macbook Pro, and turn the iMac to the side so he can work with me. You may also see we like our beverages while we work, he drinks ice cold milk, and I prefer a hot coffee!  And looking at this really makes me think I need to clean my office.

Paul Derda

7/01/2009

One of Coda’s favorite places to go play is at the Paul Derda Rec center in Broomfield.  We love to go there on cold/ rainy days, and since the wind is blowing 100 miles an hour today, it was a perfect day to go.  Unfortunately it now cost him $4 to get in, when it used to be free… I guess another sign he is growing up to quick.  Here are a few shots from the park, Coda showed Holden the ropes on how to play.

2008 Year in Review

17/12/2008

Just some photos for a quick glance at our lives in 2008!

Journaling says:

our year remembered 2008

- guys snowboarding trip – super coda – start showing – cons – surprise visit – welcome amelia – climbing longs – best of friends – welcome holden – at the park – road trip – building snowen -

2008 has been such a great year. three babies joined the family (amelia on zach’s side and kameron on my side and of course our little holden). zach was very active with his annual guys snowboarding trip, then climbing longs, and starting in a hockey league. we also traveled back to IL twice this year (once for keira’s first birthday and then once to introduce holden to the raod). we went on many trips to the childrens museum, the park, the zoo. all in all, we really enjoyed all of our friends and family.

Photo of the Week (Late)

18/08/2008

Here is the photo of the week from last week that I procrastinated putting online.  This one was in honor of Josh and Laura’s wedding, which they just celebrated their third anniversary last week.  Congratulation Joush and LaLa!  If you were at the wedding you may remember that Coda was not walking/ running but he was still a crazy man.  You may also remember how his hair was crazy with the Minnesota humidity and almost immediately after that trip we gave him his first hair cut.  Enjoy!

Photo of the Week!

6/08/2008

AHHHHHH!  The return of the photo of the week!  Ikes!  Just kidding, Michelle and I were taking a walk down memory lane (iphoto) and came to the decision that we need to reinstate the photo of the week.  So we will try our hardest to provide you with one photo a week, either new or old, but always classic Coda.

This one is from October of 2005, what seems like a million years ago, but Coda is in his usual rare form.  Not sure where this was taken… it could have been anyone’s lucky window.  My favorite part about this picture is how he looks like he starting to go cross-eyed, and of course the drool on his chin.
